We have good news for holidaymakers to Den Helder: the weather in the coastal areas is on average better than inland. Den Helder is one of the cities with the most hours of sunshine in the Netherlands. About 1650 hours of sunshine per year lure visitors to the beach and nature.
Den Helder is known as a naval city, because of the largest naval base that is located there. Den Helder is also known for its port. Nice places of interest are the Marine Museum, Fort Kijkduin and the National Rescue Museum Dorus Rijkers.
Julianadorp In the spring, the coastal town is transformed into a large sea of flowers and you can enjoy the many flowering bulb fields. It is not surprising that you will see so many beautifully colored fields. Julianadorp is located in the largest continuous bulb area in the world!
But Julianadorp has much more. Cycle or walk through the dunes with the North Sea in the background, along vast fields or enjoy a well-deserved stop at one of the catering establishments along the way.
Dogs are welcome on our campsite, provided they are kept on a leash and tidy up, there is a playground for children up to about 6 years old.
You can come to us with any camping equipment, caravan, tent and campers are also welcome!
